Blog Entry #4: Late Night Thoughts

Isn't it true?

You meet a lot of people in this world and just when you thought that you know them, they do or say something that will surprise you and you wonder, Do I really know them? Were they really the person I thought I knew?

Why does people hide behind masks?

Because they are afraid to be judged, make fun of, be laugh at, lose friends or whatsoever. I can never tell. After all, we have different reasons, don't we?

But what's sad is because of these hiding-behind-their-masks thing people are pushed to be the person they never really are.

Try to be observant.

At school,
the guy who jokes & acts silly & tries to make everyone laugh might also be a guy who's sad and lonely.

the girl who's mean and acts like she's the queen and all might actually be a girl who's not so strong and cries at night.

the guy who bullies everyone might actually be a guy who's scared & weak.

At the street,
the guy you get scary at because he doesn't have nice clothes and sometimes is dirty might actually be a guy who has a big heart.

the girl who wears weird clothes might actually be a girl who's trying to look different just to be noticed.

Or somewhere else. Just try to observe them. Your friends or what. Try to look beyond what they're showing you.

Sometimes, people put masks on because they cannot bare to let other people see what they're going through.

I know that this does not justify whatever wrong they're doing but let's not look at them like they're evil or what. Every person has a story. They have reasons. And, sometimes, they need someone, too.

Why don't we try to listen first rather than trying to make assumptions or conclusions in our minds?

Why don't we try to be a little more kinder than we are supposed to be?

Sometimes, all they need is someone who will listen and understand them.

You don't know how you'll be able to change someone's life because of that.

Every small detail, counts. :)
